Black feathers cocktail hat - Gem。This is a beautiful and elegant cocktail hat from the 1950s\'! The rigid structure in oval shaped, and covered in black and gold sequins on top. There is black veiling on top of the sequins, but does not extend down towards the face. The back of the hat comes to a point, from which an array of tall, black feathers emerge. There isn an elastic band attached to the inside of the hat to help keep it in place. This is a showstopper hat! When Hollywood costume designers Elsa Schiaparelli and Mr. John paired a new, smaller hat with cocktail dresses in several movies, women of fashion around the world eagerly followed suit. Cocktail hats reached the height of their popularity during the 1950s. There is no designer label, indicating it was a custom-made creation. Please keep in mind that you are buying a vintage hat, not new nor perfect! This is an authentic piece of fashion history!
